At a solemn ceremony in Sofia the awards were presented to the best higher education institutions in Bulgaria, evaluated by the rating system of higher schools in Bulgaria. The initiative belongs to the "24 Hours" newspaper, together with the “Open Society” Institute. The rating system evaluates universities in professional fields. 51 higher education institutions are compared in 52 professional fields, under 44 criteria, including those as the realization of graduates in the labor market, application of the acquired training, contribution of graduates to the social security system, etc.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science Krassimir Velchev, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva, the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova, former prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov, the rectors of all higher education institutions in Bulgaria, representatives of business and public figures.

Kaolin EAD supports the initiative for the third consecutive year and had the honor to present the award to the American University in Bulgaria, in the Categories "Administration and management", "Public communications" and "Political science".
