„Silistra‘ Classical Guitars“ is a new CD with performances by talented Bulgarian children and young people, licensed by the Ministry of Culture. The disc includes performances by Mihail Iliev, Anna Pavlova, Alexander Sabev and Ivan Rusev, who are trained in the art of classical guitar under Victoria Tsvetkova’s guidance. The Switzerland-graduate music teacher has organized and managed a school for classical guitar in Silistra town and has been involved in some of the recordings herself. The youngest performer, Mihail Iliev, is only 9 years old, and 19-year-old Ivan Rusev is a student at Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. Assen Diamandiev” - Plovdiv from this year. The music collection includes both classical music by Bach, Handel and Weiss, as well as works by contemporary Bulgarian authors Lyuben Panayotov and Rosen Balkanski.
The intention of the producer of the CD, "Kaolin" EAD is to make the performances available to all electronic media in Bulgaria, which can use them in their music repertoires. Silistra's virtuoso young guitarists certainly deserve to be heard by a national audience.
