The Company is to commence the production of photovoltaic panels in Silistra

Solarpro AD is to install a small 504 Wp photovoltaic power system in front of the National Palace of Culture’s main entrance. The reason for the above is the Company’s participation in the 5th International Congress on Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Sources in South-East Europe and the specialised b2b Exhibition of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Sources which are to be held in parallel from April 6 to April 8 in Sofia City.

The said system is to be built from 12 thin-film PV modules, each having a nominal power of 42 W. The modules have been produced in the solar panels factory in the town of Silistra and are part of the Company’s first production line’s produce. The metal frame has been specifically designed for the mounting of Solarpro AD’s thin-film modules and demonstrates its usage in the construction of photovoltaic power systems.

Solarpro AD is participating with its own stand at the exhibition and has also organised a presentation of the Company in a separate conference room on April 6. The entrance is free for the visitors of the exhibition.

Solarpro AD’s Executive Director, Mr Nikolay Berov is also a speaker on the PV & Solar Technology Panel on April 7. In his speech, he is to emphasize on the thin-film technology in terms of being an alternative to achieve lower prices of the electricity produced from solar energy.

At the beginning of March, the first panels under the first production line of Solarpro’s solar photovoltaic panels’ factory were produced. The Company is a member of the group of Kaolin AD. Solarpro is the largest solar panels factory in the Balkans, having a planned capacity of 18 MW annually duly organised in three production lines at this stage. There is every chance that around Solarpro AD a regional cluster for technologies and production of pure energy be built.

With a view to its large-scale projects throughout the present year, at the beginning of this month the capital of Solarpro AD was raised by BGN 6 million, entirely subscribed by its majority shareholder Kaolin AD.
