At its session, the Management Board of Kaolin Plc, after considering the possibilities for optimization of the production activities with the purpose to considerably decrease the company’s expenses due to the increasingly negative influence of the financial and economic world crisis, adopted a decision to reduce, with approximately 10 %, the number of all employees, working by present for the company. The company shall operate within a regime of reduced production of some products during the winter months, aimed at optimizing the expenses and mainly – at avoiding a considerable consumption of natural gas, as its price was increased and it is expected to additionally grow up during the first quarter of 2009.

The decision for reduction of the number of employees shall in no way affect the company’s abilities to secure the commercial program by the end of the current year as well as henceforth. Due to the solid investments from the previous and the current year, the company is able to operate in a flexible manner towards the dynamics of the main markets.
