KAOLIN Plc reports 12 % incomes growth for the first six months and BGN 5.45 mln profit
During the second quarter of 2008 KAOLIN Plc has realized incomes from sales with 12 % more that the same period of the previous year. The incomes from the company’s activities for the second quarter have grown with 56 % compared to the gained incomes for the first three months of 2008.
The financial result of the company for the first six months is profit to the amount of BGN 5.45 mln., as only for the second quarter the profit amounts to BGN 4.1 mln., which is close to the financial result for the second quarter of 2007 (excluding the effect of the extraordinary incomes for the same period of the previous year).
The reported results for the first six months support the management’s forecast, announces in the beginning on this year, for a profit growth on consolidated basis with approximately 20 % compared to 2007. Irrespective of the indications for worsening the market situation in the beginning of the second half of the year, the company’s management still considers that the prognosticated consolidated incomes’ growth on annual basis is achievable. I t is possible that the reduced consumption in the ceramics and construction fields impose negative influence over the expected sales amount.
It is to be noted that by the present moment, except for the incomes growth, the company manages to support the operative results level in spite of the sharp increase of the electricity cartridge and the expenses for transportation and logistics services. To a great extent, this is a result from the energy saving investments as well as from the reasonable approach in terms of deliveries management.
